in Kigali

Murahoooo

I just got to Kigali last night and it is the most amazing city. Rwanda is much different from Malawi (or at least Kigali is very different from Lilongwe). My friend Ali and David and I went out to eat at this cool restaurant called Republica and then went out to a party at a nightclub called "the new cadillac". It was set up like a night club but there were paintings of politicians on the walls. And everyone danced, even the guys would hold hands and dance with each other. We stayed til after midnight to celebrate Liberation Day after midnight then went home for some rest.
Now I'm at the Clinton Foundation getting some work done. It turns out that they have a lot of information that is helpful for me and the MDG evaluation that I am doing.
We're about to go to the Hotel de Milles Collones (sp?), which is the hotel where hotel rwanda was based on. For like $4 you can hang out at their pool, the inspiration for hte book "sundays by the pool in kigali". Tomorrow I'm buying a cell and meeting Caleb and riding up to Shyira.
